Delete Your Data

Targetry — how to remove your targets, your shooting sessions, or your whole account.

You do not have to delete your account to remove something. Most of what Targetry stores can be deleted individually, from inside the app, and it happens immediately. If you want everything gone, that is one action too.

Delete your account and all its data

In the app

  1. Open Targetry and log in.
  2. Go to Settings → Account.
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

This is immediate and permanent. There is no recovery and no waiting period.

If you cannot get into the app

Email info@targetryapp.com from the address the account uses, and we will delete it for you. Writing from that address is how we know the account is yours — we will not delete an account on the word of someone who cannot receive its mail.

We aim to action requests within a few days, and within 30 days at the latest.

What deleting your account removes

Immediately and completely:

  • your account record, email address and password hash;
  • every target photo and every marked-up result;
  • every score and analysis result;
  • every note you wrote;
  • every shooting session, including the firearm and ammunition you entered;
  • any unused analysis credits;
  • any outstanding verification or password-reset codes;
  • all your login sessions, on every device.

What is kept afterwards

Two records remain, for accounting rather than about you:

  • a log of each analysis that was run — when, how much processing it used, and what it cost us to run;
  • a log of changes to plans and allowances, including any amount charged, so entitlements and payments can be audited.

Neither contains any photo, score, note, firearm, or shooting result. Both reference an internal account number rather than your email address, and once the account is deleted that number no longer identifies you or anyone else.

Delete specific data, and keep your account

Targets and photos

Open History, then either tap a target and use Delete, or select several and delete them together. Both stored photos — the original and the marked-up copy — go with the result.

Notes

Open the target, clear the note field and save it empty. The note is replaced, not archived.

Shooting sessions — firearm and ammunition

Open Analyze → Edit session and use Delete. This removes the session and everything recorded on it, including the gun and ammunition.

Your targets are kept. They move out of that session and show group sizes as percentages rather than millimetres, because the sheet width those measurements were calculated from lived on the session you just deleted.

Anything else

Email info@targetryapp.com from your account’s address and tell us what you want removed. That includes feedback messages you have sent us, which live in our mailbox and are not reachable from inside the app.

Changing your email address

This cannot be done in the app yet. Email info@targetryapp.com from the current address and we will arrange it.
